Wedge Wire DSM Screen is also referred to as sieve bend screen. It is a curved concave wedge bar type of stationary screen. The common DSM screen available types are 45°, 60°, 120°, 270°, 300°. Wedge wire sieve bends are made of stainless steel wedge wires. They are consist of a concave curved profile wire screen, which is inserted into a stainless steel frame. The wedge wire sieve bends are manufactured by wrapping and welding stainless steel V-shaped profile wire and support rods. Then the panel screens are cut and curved into arc screens. The wedge wire sieve bends have continuous slots, which has efficient filtering performance. Forces exerted as materials flow against the curved surface, curved screen structure has better filtering and greater capacity than the wedge wire screen panel.

DSM screens are also known as sieve bends, after Dutch State Mines, who introduced the sieve bend as a static sizing screen having ten times greater capacity than conventional vibrating screens.

Application of Wedge Wire DSM Screen:
Sieve bend screen is the solution to many de-watering, sizing, and wastewater cleanup problems. They are mainly used for liquid/solid separation and manufactured to suit a wide range of industries such as Sugar, Paper Processing, Coal Mining & Quarrying, Mineral Processing, Cement, and Industrial & Urban Effluent Treatment. Sieve bend screens are also used as a pre-filter in urban & industrial waste treatment plants to improve the performance of the clarifier by drastically reducing the load.
